The Two Faces of God
Samael in the modern age.
The world today, so governed by hate and destruction, is the perfect feeding ground for Samael and her followers. It seems to be the age of the destruction of religion and belief in authority of any kind. The Christian churches have been proved to be corrupt, to abuse their believers and then lie to them about it. The authority of the God they represent has become tainted by the acts of the men that govern it. But which God? Here lies the conundrum.
It is not just the Christians who are doing this; many other religions seem to be following a dark path into violence. The rise of sects has increased to meet the need of people to find a personal saviour, which is simply humanity following an old pattern, the one that first led them to Samael. The need to believe in something reachable or someone tangible is very strong in most people because we have all known God at our creation and we still seek to find it outside ourselves, as it was in the beginning, even as spiritual teachers of this age and others remind us that God is found within. When you seek outwards any charismatic person may feed that need - until they prove themselves unworthy or cause you great harm, a process that plays right into the hands of Samael. People like David Karesh believe that they are Jesus or God returned to earth and spent time and energy making others believe the same. They undermine our faith in the truth of a God of any kind when someone who is supposed to be of the Light turns around and kills his, or her, followers. This is not the act of a loving Creator, this is the act of a demon or demonically controlled person, but we were warned about their coming, and the coming of false prophets, by Jesus. (Matt.22:24)
False Christs and prophets abound in this age of confusion and uncertainty, presenting a powerful challenge to our beliefs as much as testing our free will and discernment. Who are they? What promises are they making? Who or what inspires them in their work? Who, indeed, is the creator of this maelstrom of swirling temptations which may sounds so attractive and true to millions of well-meaning people searching for Light within themselves and in the world they live in? There is only one such Being, no longer as almighty as in the days of old but still powerful enough to use humanity as her battleground on which to challenge her adversary - the Michael and its army of Spiritual Warriors, who have been trained over millenia for this final struggle.
Samael, the Father of Lies, knows that she can manipulate the Truth in such a way that many people, in their inability to see the false prophets' dark designs, see the Light where there is none. In this modern age, with mass communication and the awakening of our connection to our collective consciousness through energy systems such as the internet, Men are beginning to question a reality that is so contradictory, without fear of condemnation. We are no longer afraid of God, or at least we try not to be, because it doesn't seem to blast anyone to smithereens for the most appalling acts of treachery that are constantly reported on the news. Instead we question the very nature, if not the actual existence, of an entity that allows 'bad things' to happen, and it takes a huge leap of faith for most people to keep believing that God exists.
The 21st century man and woman has their religious faith severely tested when they observe what is being done in the name of the Supreme Being of Light and unconditional Love, the all-merciful, all forgiving God of believers of many religions. There can be no comparisons between the consciousness of the earliest societies and our own. Their gods demanded bloody sacrifices - human and animal - and are also vividly described in those strange biblical verses which present to us another face of the loving creator of human beings:
"And I will make my abode among you and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk among you and will be your God and you shall be my people. (to the Jews) But if you will not hearken to me and will not do all these commandments, if you spur my statutes and if your soul abhors my ordinances .. I will do this to you, I will appoint over you sudden terror, consumption and fever, that waste the eyes and cause life to pine away. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. I will set my face against you, and you shall be smitten before your enemies. Those who hate you shall rule over you and you shall flee when none pursues you. And if in spite of this you will not hearken to me, then I will chastise you again sevenhold for your sins, and will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like brass.... etc etc. Then, if you walk contrary to me, and will not hearken to me, I will bring more plagues upon you, sevenfold as many as your sins. And I will let loose the wild beasts among you, which will rob you of your children and destroy your cattle...." (Lev 26:11-33) (And you can find plenty more in Deu 27 Num 21)
Does this sound like the God who loves all its creations unconditionally? Has humanity been worshipping a fallen angel? The obvious answer is: yes. The "god" described in those terms is a self-portrait of Samael, the Rebel Angel and the Ruler of this world. It is she who creates evil in place of good and who inspires human beings to present themselves as the agents of their personal god - by whatever name they may call it. But in this relentless invasion of false Christs and prophets of all kinds, there is a glimmer of hope for all human beings, because this is Samael's opportunity as much as ours to defeat her designs. So how do we help her defeat herself? What do we do to create Light that can illuminate her darkness?
The answer is very simple. We start with ourselves by creating a pool of light in the core of our own being. Even if it's at first only a flickering candle, it is already dispersing the surrounding darkness and its flame will grow stronger each day, each year, each lifetime. It has to be our very own light, signalling on its own frequency, because only then can it attract other lights beaming in harmony. That light grows by each individual's believing in his or her own divinity, his or her own free will to become a being of Light who can stand unafraid in the darkness which belongs to Samael and Illuminate it.
Samael's kingdom of shadows is already beginning to look like a city of many flickering lights, because of what happened over 2,000 years ago when the Christ energy descended into the hells and purgatories of another world and, as I wrote earlier, enabled a myriad of lost human souls wandering in the dark caverns of Samael's domain to find their way to Heaven and, from that moment on, carry that divine spark in their own souls.
It is that light of Christ planted in every human soul which makes it unnecessary and often even dangerous to seek our personal salvation in the teachings and beliefs of other men, regardless of the contents of their words. Some give a valuable advice, but those who want followers are looking only to boost their own egos. We can choose to believe what others teach us, but we should use discernment in all their words and wisdom and accept only those things that 'resonate', that make sense to us - even if that 'sense' and that understanding changes over time. We all begin at a level we can accept, and build on the knowledge.
Eventually we are all called to teach - to share what we have learned, but we can do this only by giving freely of ourselves without wanting anything, any particular outcome, remembering always that this is no longer the age of Masters. We had one once, her name is Samael.
And so we flow back into the energy of the beings called the Children of Light.
